Superintendent Teacher Advisory Team
Superintendent Teacher Advisory Team
The Superintendent Teacher Advisory Team consists of teachers representing a diverse cross-section of Maricopa County public school teachers. Input from STAT helps Superintendent Watson represent teacher voice and speak with practical knowledge about experiences and ideas coming from today's classrooms. STAT meets quarterly for discussion around important topics such as:
Educator advocacy strategies
School funding priorities
Teacher retention strategies
Accessibility of instructional resources
Teacher representatives are chosen each school year by an application and interview process. The process is intended to ensure the team includes perspectives and experiences that represent as many teachers as possible.
